J.C. Scott: Tracking Tucson-Phoenix passenger rail

ed06 min: We start the show with Tucson attorney John Munger, who is representing a client who alleges that Pima Community College unfairly suspended her for objecting to others speaking Spanish in class. A college representative said the claims are "entirely without merit."

30 min: We were joined by state Sen. Linda Lopez, who reviewed this year's session of the Legislature. Her subjects included Medicaid expansion, election law, education and sales tax reform.

56 min: We talked with administrator Mark B. Evans, discussing proposed passenger rail service between Tucson and Phoenix. Also covered was the proposed rail yard near Picacho Peak.

90 min: We finished the show with former Democratic Party chairman Paul Eckerstrom, who covered the upcoming 2014 House and Senate races and recent U.S. Supreme Court decisions. Eckerstrom also gave his take on this year's local elections.
