J.C. Scott: Barber on tough first Congress votes

U.S. Rep. Ron Barber joined John to talk about some of the tough votes he has made in his first three weeks in office. He talked about "Fast and Furious," the vote to repeal heath care reform, Medicaid in Arizona, his trip to Benson to talk about the proposed unmanned aerial systems site, the change of command at DM, and upcoming events at the Oro Valley farmers market Saturday 10-11 a.m. and a Solar Power 101 workshop Monday at the Murphy-Wilmot Library 6-7:30 p.m.

Tucson Unified School District Governing Board member Mark Stegeman talked about budget challenges. Should TUSD close more schools, build larger schools and what other ways we can save money? Will there be a bond election next year?

Developer Richard Studwell talked about the challenges of rehabilitating the downtown Marist College building. Also, the city will have to foot the bill for another backup streetcar at a cost of $3.6 million. They also talk about the road bond election this November.
