Border Patrol agents at a checkpoint near Three Points arrested a man Thursday wanted for child pornography, following a request for assistance by Tucson Police Department.
"Tucson police contacted Border Patrol because they had probable cause and asked us for assistance," said Peter Bidegain, a BP spokesman.
The suspect works in Sasabe and was known to travel through the checkpoint on State Route 286, said Bidegain.
The suspect, whose name was not released by federal authorities, was turned over to TPD, he said.
