Nominations due for Gabe Zimmerman Awards
Do you have a friend or colleague who deserves recognition for commitment to public service? The Center for the Future of Arizona is accepting last-minute nominations for the Gabe Zimmerman Public Service Awards. The deadline to summit nominations is next Monday.
The awards recognize non-elected public employees who serve citizens. They are named in honor of Gabe Zimmerman, director of community outreach for U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, who was one of six people killed on Jan. 8, 2011, when a gunman opened fire at a local congressional event.
Honorees will be recognized at the League of Cities and Towns Annual meeting on August 21.
