We started the show with Arizona Capitol Times Editor Jim Small, who broke the news that the Arizona Senate had passed Medicaid expansion and ended special session. Gov. Jan Brewer was expected to sign the budget, including the expansion of AHCCCS, Thursday afternoon.
13 minutes into the show, Tucson Weekly writer Jim Nintzel joined us for a review of this week's issue of the alt-weekly.
29 min: We interviewed Ward 6 Tucson City Councilman Steve Kozachik, who invited listeners to Thursday night's sex trafficking forum to be held in the Amethyst Room of the PCC Downtown Campus, 1255 N. Stone Ave. Other subjects included Tucson's General Plan, golf course management, pension costs and public transportation.
59 min: We were joined in studio by Tucson Mayor Jonathan Rothschild, who gave his take on Grand Canyon University, pension costs, marijuana decriminalization, downtown development and public transportation.
95 min: We finished with Mark B. Evans of Tucsoncitizen.com, who talked about Downtown development hinging on the construction, cost and maintenance of the modern streetcar. He also commented on the Arizona Legislature's passage of Medicaid expansion.
