What's open, what's closed on Memorial Day
As we celebrate the lives of those who made the greatest sacrifice for their country, and welcome the beginning of the summer season, many governmental offices, services and public transportation will be affected by the Memorial Day holiday.
City, county, state and federal governmental offices, including post offices, will be closed Monday.
There will be no trash and recycling collection on Monday and collections will be delayed one day during the week.
The Los Reales landfill and Household Hazardous Waste Facility, and all county landfills and transfer stations will be closed.
Sun Tran will operate on a Sunday schedule Monday. There will be no Sun Express and Sun Shuttle service Monday.
Pima County public libraries will be closed Monday.
Most banks and credit unions are scheduled to be closed Monday. Check your financial institution for hours.
The state's Motor Vehicle Division and emissions testing will be closed Monday.
Sunnyside School District's K-12 schools will not hold classes. All other K-12 public school districts are on summer break. The University of Arizona and Pima Community College also are on break.
