Northwest Hospital to build 18-bed facility in Sahuarita

Sahuarita is getting its own hospital, possibly by the end of 2019.

Northwest Healthcare announced Tuesday it will build an acute care facility west of Wrightson Ridge school southeast of Interstate 19 and Sahuarita Road.

The deal will bring 18 hospital beds and 150 jobs, with an average salary of about $70,000, according to a town spokesman.

Northwest said services will include “an emergency room and two operating rooms … medical offices with planned services to include primary care, cardiology, orthopedics and general surgery.”
