J.C. Scott: Tucson City Council approves budget

On the Wednesday edition:

We started our show with former state Sen. Frank Antenori, a Republican who talked about the ongoing Medicaid expansion debate at the Legislature.

26 minutes into the show, we were joined by Jesse Lugo,who invited listeners to participate in the third annual memorial golf tournament honoring Sgt. Martin Lugo Jr. and PFC Angel Carranza this Saturday morning at the El Rio Golf Course. Call 440-3305 for information.

38 min: We interviewed Ward 2 Councilman Paul Cunningham, who talked about Council approval of the city budget, El Rio Golf Course and Grand Canyon University, city worker pay raises and Tucson Water rates.

56 min: We talked with Rep. Ethan Orr (R-LD9), who updated listeners on the debate in the Arizona House of Representatives over Medicaid expansion. Other subjects included education and Child Protective Services funding.

72 min: John was joined by financial advisor Shelly Fishman, who talked about annuities and insurance.

88 min: We finished the show with Ward 6 Councilman Steve Kozachik, who talked about Tucson's city budget, worker pay raises and health insurance, as well as possible sale of El Rio to Grand Canyon University.
