Wildfire burns on Tohono O'odham Nation

Officials from the Tohono O'odham Nation's Department of Public Safety received reports last night at 8 p.m. of a wildfire burning southwest of the village of Pan Tak, about 16 miles from Three Points along Highway 86. 

No structures have been damaged and there have been no evacuations or injuries, according to a press release this afternoon. 

The fire is not contained, however, personnel from the nation's Fire Management office are working to contain the perimeter. 

The cause of the wildfire is still under investigation at this time.
