PCC appoints new Northwest Campus prez

Pima Community College has appointed the new president of the Northwest Campus. David Doré, former dean of instruction for Career and Technical Education at Mesa Community College, will begin work July 1 pending Governing Board approval.

PCC Chancellor Lee Lambert announced the hire in an email to college employees Wednesday.

Doré holds a Doctorate of Education from Pepperdine University, a Master of Business Administration from Georgetown University, a Master of Education from Boston College, a Master of Theological Studies from Santa Clara University and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Gannon University.

Doré will take over from Darla Zirbes who has served as acting president of the Northwest Campus. Zirbes will return to Community Campus to serve as vice president of instruction.  

Zirbes took over as acting president at Northwest Campus when Alex Kajstura stepped down in 2013.
