Agents arrest 1, seize 41 pounds of cocaine in Nogales
A 32-year-old Mexican man was arrested after trying to smuggle nearly 41 pounds of cocaine through the DeConcini Port of Entry in Nogales, U.S. Customs and Border Protection said.
The man was referred by agents for secondary inspection Wednesday after a CBP narcotics canine hit on the scent of drugs in his pickup, CBP said.
Agents found 17 packages containing nearly 41 pounds of cocaine that was valued around $372,000 in the truck, CBP said.
The man was turned over to ICE's Homeland Security Investigations and the drugs and truck were seized, CBP said.
