TPD: Man with dementia missing from Tucson Mall-area home
Tucson Police are asking for help finding a missing elderly man who suffers from dementia.
Arthur "Art" Hartung, 77, was reporting missing from his home in the 4200 block of N. Limberlost Circle on Wednesday morning. His wife believes he left the home between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Tuesday while she was out, TPD spokeswoman Sgt. Maria Hawke said.
Hartung suffers from dementia and can become confused. He also need medications for other health conditions, Hawke said.
Hartung's vehicle, a white 2001 Chevrolet Blazer with license plate 1465VT, was also missing from the residence, Hawke said.
Hawke said Wednesday afternoon that Hartung's credit card had been used near Winterhaven, Calif., since he's been missing.
He is described as white, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 175 pounds, bald with a white beard and has blue eyes and a 1-inch scar above is left eye. He may be wearing a dark-colored T-shirt, black sweatpants, dark slip-on canvas shoes and eyeglasses.
Anyone with information about Hartung is asked to call 911.
