Area job seekers will have a chance to meet with local firms and employment agencies at a job fair on Saturday.
Attendees can meet with groups for information on job training, employment services and educational opportunities. The groups on hand will include Pima County One Stop Career Center, Mature Worker Connection, the YWorks Program of the YWCA and the Veterans Workforce Investment Program.
The event runs from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the YWCA, 525 N. Bonita Ave. U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords will make a brief speech at 10:30 a.m.
"The goal of Saturday's Job Seekers' Expo is to provide a forum where people seeking employment can speak directly with potential employers as well as experts who can help them with practical advice, such as interview tips and polishing up their résumés," Giffords said in a press release.
The employers attending the event include GEICO, Canyon Ranch, Tucson Medical Center, the Transportation Security Administration and the Arizona Army and Air National Guards. A full list of attendees is below.
Job seekers planning to attend should bring multiple copies of their résumé.
