A 31-year-old Mexican man apprehended by Border Patrol agents in October was sentenced Monday to 39 months in prison for illegal re-entry into the United States, U.S. Customs and Border Protection said.
Jose Manuel Cervantes Trejo, of Zihuatanejo, Guerrero, was apprehended by Ajo Station agents near Pisinemo. During processing, agents found he has a 2009 conviction in Bakersfield, Calif., for felony sexual intercourse with a minor under 16 years of age, the Border Patrol said.
