Sonora man gets 41 months for illegal re-entry into U.S.

A 42-year-old Nogales, Son., man was sentenced to 41 months in prison March 21 for illegally re-entering the United States, U.S. Customs and Border Protction said.

Rafael Aguilar Gutierrez was apprehended by Casa Grande Station agent in November near Pisinemo. During processing, agents found he had a conviction in Santa Cruz County for aggravated robbery and attempted burglary, CBP said.

Following his sentence, Aguilar will be formally removed from the United States and will be banned for life from all legalization processes, CBP said.
