As part of Pima County's pavement preservation project, crews from Granite Construction overlaid 2 inches of asphalt on North Painted Hills Road on Wednesday. Nearby, city-funded crews from Sunland Asphalt were busy ripping up West Ironwood Hill Drive in preparation for a new paving job.
Other Pima County projects in the works include West Manville Road near North Reservation Road, North El Moraga Drive between West Goret Road and West Sweetwater Drive, and West Anklam Road between North Players Club Drive and West Speedway Boulevard.
The city is continuing its resurfacing projects as well, with crews working around Tucson — including those beginning to tackle a stop-gap paving project on East Grant Road in Midtown.
