Brewer in 3-way primary poll tie

Governor Jan Brewer is in a three-way tie in the race for the GOP gubernatorial primary, says Rasmussen Reports.

Brewer is supported by 20 percent in a recent survey. State Treasurer Dean Martin is backed by 21 percent of likely voters.

Martin had a slight 31-29 percent lead over Brewer in a January survey.

Rasmussen says it's Buz Mills who's shaking up the race:

But newcomer Buz Mills, a businessman and National Rifle Association board member, has turned it into a competitive three-way race, capturing 19% of the Republican vote. Mills, who has already started campaigning heavily on the issues of border security and job creation, has never held a political office.

Just 10% of Republican voters now favor former state GOP Chairman John Munger. Two months ago, Munger captured seven percent (7%) of the vote.

23 percent of likely Republican voters are undecided.

The primary will be held August 24.
