CBP arrests man wanted for escape

American sought by Colorado authorities

A man wanted for escape by the Colorado Department of Corrections was arrested while trying to enter the United States on Wednesday at the DeConcini Port of Entry in Nogales, U.S. Customs and Border Protection said.

Hime Corona, 42, was found to have a warrant for escape related to a 'dangerous drugs' offense after CBP officers from the Tucson Field Office directed the driver of the vehicle he was traveling in for a secondary inspection, CBP said.

Corona, a U.S. citizen, was arrested and is awaiting extradition. The driver, also a U.S. citizen, was released, CBP said.
