BP arrest man wanted in Wash. for escape
A Mexican man wanted in Olympia, Wash., for escape was arrested by Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents Sunday, U.S. Customs and Border Protection said.
The 26-year-old man from Mexico was apprehended in the West Desert by Casa Grande Station agents for illegal entry, the Border Patrol said.
During processing, agents learned the man has felony convictions for cocaine manufacturing and distribution in 2011 and had a prior removal, the Border Patrol said.
Agents also learned the man had a warrant for his arrest for escape. He was to be turned over to the Tucson Police Department for extradition to Washington, the Border Patrol said.
