Man gets 46 months for illegally entering U.S.
A 36-year-old Mexican man was sentenced to nearly four years in prison on Feb. 24 for illegal re-entry of a felon, CBP announced Friday.
Sergio Tinoco Patino, of Michoacán, was sentenced to 46 months in prison after he was apprehended in October by Naco Station Border Patrol agents for attempting to illegally enter the United States, the Border Patrol said.
During processing at the station, agents learned Tinoco has a 2005 conviction on a felony charge of domestic violence, the Border Patrol said.
Following his sentence, Tinoco will be formally removed from the United States and banned for life from all legalization processes, the Border Patrol said.
