Weather Service: Another hard freeze coming
Bundle up and expect another cold night. The National Weather Service has issued another hard freeze warning for Southern Arizona.
Temperatures will fall below the freezing mark again on Friday night, with the warning in effect from midnight until 9 a.m. Saturday.
The cold won't be as low or as prolonged as on recent mornings, the Weather Service said. Temperatures are forecast to be in the 20s.
The warning covers the Tucson metro area and Pima County, including Sells, Green Valley, Marana, Vail and Oracle.
Cold temperatures across the Southwest have frozen pipes in homes, broken water mains, and disrupted natural gas delivery in Tucson. Rolling electric blackouts hit Texas, which led to limited gas flows to Arizona.
Expect warmer weather over the next few days, the Weather Service said. A storm system may impact the area late Tuesday into early Thursday.
