'Day of Healing for Tucson's Children' set for Sunday
Children ages 5-12 are encouraged to share their feelings about the Jan. 8 shootings at a multi-faith service Sunday.
The Day of Healing for Tucson's Children will be held from 3-5 p.m. at Casas Adobes Congregational United Church of Christ, 6801 N. Oracle Rd.
Kids will be able to share stories, sing songs, pet animals and enjoy other activities to help deal with the grief and trauma resulting from the shooting incident. The event is open to any family who has a child affected by the tragedy and is free to attend.
While most of the event will be designed for kids between 5 and 12, families with older or younger children are encouraged to come, the church said. Workshops and healing stations will be available for all participants.
