Travel restrictions and road closures
The City of Tucson is advising motorists traveling downtown of delays due to Saturday events.
Dillinger Days
Toole Avenue from Congress Street to Fifth Avenue, and Fifth Avenue from Toole Avenue to Pennington Street will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the annual celebration around Hotel Congress.
March for Life
Curb lanes will be closed along the march's route beginning at 10 a.m.
and ending at 1 p.m. Barricades will separate participants walking in
the curb lane from the travel lane:
From St. Augustine Cathedral, 192 S. Stone Ave. (back of cathedral)
participants will walk north on Church Avenue to Franklin Street, east
on Franklin to Stone, north on Stone to Grant Road, west on Grant to Oracle Road, then north on Oracle to Holy Hope Cemetery, 3555 N. Oracle Rd.

Santa Cruz River Park
The Santa Cruz River Park underpasses at Grant Road will be closed intermittently between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays for the installation of gas lines, Pima County Natural Resources, Parks and Recreation announced. Drivers will be detoured from one underpass to the other, the department said.
The eastbound curb lane on Tanque Verde Road and the right left turn lane on southbound Sabino Canyon Road, will be closed for installation of a storm drain at the intersection. Crews will be working 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through Thursday, but the lanes will remain closed round-the-clock everyday for two more weeks, the Tucson Department of Transportation said.
Eighth Street Drainage Improvement project
The project extends from Sixth Avenue on the west to Third Avenue on the east and Sixth Street on the north to Stevens Avenue on the south.
Work will start on Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., in addition to the regular weekday work schedule. Saturday work will take place for the next several weeks.
