Giffords stands, looks out window
U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords stood up with assistance Wednesday, her spokesman confirmed.
Giffords was able to stand on her own two feet, C.J. Karamargin said.
"It was with assistance, but she was able to stand," he said.
Giffords was able to sit in a chair and see the Catalina Mountains on Wednesday, as well.
Giffords has been undergoing an "aggressive regimen" of physical therapy, her doctors have said.
The congresswoman, shot through the left side of her brain on Jan. 8, will likely be moved to a Houston rehabilitation center on Friday, Karamargin said earlier in the day.
