An arrest warrant has been issued for a 21-year-old man in connection with the killing of Jordan "JP" Peterson, who went missing in November, Tucson Police Department announced Tuesday.

Bryan Lamar Lee is wanted for first-degree murder in the death of Peterson, who disappeared from his Tucson home on Nov. 16, said Sgt. Maria Hawke, a TPD spokeswoman.

On Sunday, TPD announced that a body found in the desert in Pinal County on Friday had tentatively been identified as Peterson.

Peterson was last heard from on Nov. 16 when he told his roommate that he would return home later that evening, said TPD spokesman Sgt. Matt Ronstadt.

His truck was found by the Marana Police Department on Nov. 18.

TPD classified the case as a homicide over the weekend, Ronstadt said Sunday.

Lee's whereabouts are unknown. He is described as African American with brown hair and green eyes, 5 feet 9 inches tall, and weighing 175 pounds, Hawke said.

Anyone with information about Lee's location or Peterson's case is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
