Snow closes Carr Canyon in Coronado Forest

Forest Service officials have closed Carr Canyon Road in the Huachuca Mountains because of snow and ice.

The road, also known as Forest Road 368, is shut from from the bridge to the road’s end near Ramsey Vista Campground, said agency spokeswoman Heidi Schewel.

Both Ramsey Vista and Reef Townsite campgrounds in the Coronado National Forest will be closed. The lower picnic area and adjacent parking area will remain open to visitors, Schewel said.

The road will remain closed until it is safely passable, she said.
