Iraqi refugees struggle to work in professions left behind

Since the U.S. began accepting Iraqi refugees in 2007, nearly 4,000 have been resettled in Arizona. Many are professionals, trained in health care, computer science and engineering, but they often wind up in service jobs because their experience isn’t recognized, their English is inadequate and their understanding of U.S. culture is limited.
