Nancy Ferguson (bottom left) walks through Saguaro National Park. She and her husband Tom Orum have a tradition: when they find a new young saguaro, they celebrate with milkshakes. They said they haven’t had a lot milkshakes lately. Drought and rising temperatures in the park appear to be causing fewer young saguaros to establish themselves.
