13 more Occupy Tucson protesters arrested Monday

Tucson police arrested 13 Occupy Tucson demonstrators at three downtown parks on Monday night. There have been over 430 arrests since the protest began Oct. 15.

Giving the flea party a pass for this would be VERY damaging to our community in so many ways. The same rules gotta apply to everyone. When they don’t, that’s when all hell breaks loose.

I never thought I would see the City Council do the right thing on…well, anything. However, their decision to continue to enforce the closing time is a good start.

What really needs to happen, and soon, is one of two things…

-The flea party cuts through the red tape, buys its permits, and demonstrates legally…giving back to the community some of what they’re taking from it

-TPD removes the flea party from the parks that belong to all of us, not just them.
