I’m not an economist. That said, this sounds like complete and total idiocy. All this would do is create much more competition to the limited jobs that are available. Adding people to a population does not in itself create jobs.

Job creators are generally motivated, smart, educated people.  Stands to reason that the more educated, smart, motivated people you have in an area, the more likely that conversations will lead to new ideas and eventually new products, services, and jobs.  These people are not going to compete for existing jobs, they are going to create new ones.

Life is not a zero sum game.

Janamg….Have another glass of koolaide. Case in point/ Landlord wanted stone patio… Calls established landscaper in Prescott az. Doesnt like the price quote.  Drives down to Prescott college, picks up 5 illegals, gets stone patio built cheap.  American citizens and a business lose money…...Dream act encourages non US citizens to slip into country and wait til they can become legal. Duh, how does one prove they have been in this country illegally for 5 years Duh. Pursue higher education???? Who pays for that???  DUH DUH DUH.. Do you truely believe that illegals maturing to adults will be the motivated educated smart people creating jobs??? WOW, drink up….
