Local officials rubbed wrong way

A social media stunt is mocking the Sun Link streetcar project, and Tucsonans are falling for the joke. A page dubbed Community Link Integrated Transit of Tucson invites locals to "Ride the CLITT." The man behind the satire is longtime Downtown arts activist David Aguirre.

Revisiting this story….I am at a loss trying to understand why so many people don’t get that the FB page is a parody or joke.  Is the newspaper BAD photoshop post the site put up…THAT good…for casual readers to not get that is just that….a joke cut and paste?

The joke doesn’t seem that subtle…at least to me.  But….it sure seems to be to a whole lot of folks.

... and today’s George Takei FB post of the newspaper parody, and the accompanying comments, only further demonstrates the point.

And the parody story has an incorrect use of “it’s” .... sigh.
