Ever since the To Catch A Predator series, I am bothered by stories like these and have a few unanswered questions.

First, what kind of mind is it that pretends they’re underage and want people to hit them up for sex? The very thought of doing that sickens me. I can’t imagine the character of someone that actually goes through with that.

Second, where’s the victim here? It looks to me that the only person they have this guy soliciting is a detective whom I am assuming is over the age of 18.

Third…why is it only the arrest stories and conviction stories make the papers? When the charges are eventually dropped against these guys, which probably happens more often than it doesn’t, there’s never any story about that. Yeah, yeah, I know…“charges dropped” doesn’t make as juicy of a headline as “pervert arrested”.

And, now fourth after rereading this story…this guy was arrested by TPD AND assisting US Marshals? Plural? Just how many people does it take to arrest one pervert? I feel as if my tax dollars are being wasted here.
