Female visitors die from heat stroke while on mountain trails

The heat in Southern Arizona has turned deadly in a manner that's more than metaphorical. Two women have died from heat stroke while hiking near Tucson over the past three days, a Pima County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman said.

Thanks for this story, and especially the sidebar.

Far too many folks who live in Tucson get complacent and overconfident when it comes to the heat, often with tragic results. I am glad there are constant reminders such as this one of the dangers, how to deal with them, and what to do if you get overheated.
