Renovations improve Nogales crossing, critics say officials must do more

About 300,000 commercial vehicles pass through the Mariposa Port of Entry every year on their way into the United States, and it’s one of the busiest ports on the border. The government spent nearly $200 million to add booths and inspection spaces to help reduce wait times. So far, it appears to be working, but there is some debate about how effective the renovation has been.
