Preschool is overrated. I didn’t go. Instead, my mom took the time to teach me the alphabet, numbers, colors, how to tell time, and my calendar, all of which I knew when I entered Kindergarten and it gave me a great head start.

I’m not special…it’s just that my mom cared enough to give me some attention, guidance, and help when I was a kid. Perhaps if more parents did that their kids would do better in school and in the rest of their lives.

Parents should stop trying to pawn all their parental responsibilities and obligations to the schools and others. There really is more to parenthood then providing food, clothing, and shelter…
