Antenori campaign in debt, trailing badly in fundraising

Congressional hopeful Frank Antenori trails his Republican competitors in raising campaign funds — by at least $96,000 each. The four others in the running for the GOP primary raised between $133,000 and $260,000. Antenori brought in just $36,000, and is nearly $3,000 in the red.

Now I’m curious…I’m wondering just how a political campaign fits into bankruptcy law. It’s not really individual, but it’s not really a business either exactly. I wonder if they can get bankruptcy protection or if Antenori is going to end up being on the hook for $3k.
