A Tucson man who pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography was sentenced Monday to more than eight years in prison and was ordered to pay a $10,000 fine and $5,000 in restitution.

Ummm….March 11, 2009 was over three years ago now. What the hell took so long???

I am not at all advocating child pornography in any way. But, there’s a question I’m dying to ask which is NEVER covered in one of these stories…

How did he get caught?

Do the cops just randomly search our computers remotely or track our bandwidth usage? Do the feds randomly break down doors, hoping that the next one will be the child porn cache they’re seeking?

I want to see guys like Dixon do time, but I also want to see that their Fourth and Fifth Amendment rights weren’t violated in the process.
