PCC memorial honored U.S. war dead in Iraq, Afghanistan

The names of the dead were read Friday in Tucson. For more than 13 hours, volunteers at Pima Community College read the names of U.S. service members who were killed in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Thanks, Dylan, for covering this.  Jerry Rianes coordinated a tremendous collective volunteer effort to make it happen.  The jubilant faces in Saturday’s Welcome Home March were shown on the front page of the AZ Daily Star, but the true cost of war and the grief war brings, was not acknowledged therein.

So, once again, hallelujah for independent journalism!
