I will state, publicly, that I know for certain that neither of these two are doing this out of any sort of benevolence. They’re up to something. What that is I don’t know. But, what I do know from my four years at Pima is that the question “what’s the ethically right thing to do?” never occurs in the thought process of a PCC decision-maker. “How can I use this to get ahead?”, “who can I step on to get there?”, and “how can I sweep this under the rug?” are questions more common to the thought processes of PCC decision-makers.

I had the misfortune of being employed at East Campus while Fugett was president there. I can state from personal experience and incidents I witnessed that it was the textbook definition of a hostile work environment. I can state with equal certainty and first-hand knowledge that Fugett knew of the situation, she knew the people causing it and how, and she refused to act to correct the situation. Hell, at least two of the people responsible for the hostile environment are still employed there…one after sexually harassing a female employee in front of a witness and also throwing a pencil at his supervisor and telling him to get the f-bomb out of the office. Fugett knew this person committed these acts…and the guy still works there.

Fugett, what exactly is it that he knows about you that you don’t want the rest of the world to find out?

“We want everyone to know that things will go on as usual through this transition,” [Miles] said.

Ummmm….this is not a good thing.
