Patterson: Allegations prompting resignation calls are 'blackmail'

House Dems call for ethics investigation

Calling the domestic troubles of state Rep. Daniel Patterson an "ongoing distraction from doing the important work of the people," state Democrats called for an ethics investigation, and for him to step down. He said Monday that he's being "blackmailed" and "will not resign."

“Allegations are lies from person w bad mental problems & violent criminal history trying to blackmail me (sic).”

Libel suit anyone? Unlike him, she’s not a public figure. And he sure does seem to be showing a vengeful, angry, impulsive side that just might make her claims seem more credible.

Not so sure that he’s fit for office ...

Seems the “stepping down from office” line has been used ad-nauseum over the last few years…but if this is all true, I’d say the good representative has some issues to deal with….
