Barber recalls attack like clockwork every Sat.

A day of smiles and sunshine is how many Tucsonans spent Saturday, in a moving memorial to the victims of the Jan. 8, 2011 shootings meant to lift both feet and spirits. The mayor Zumba'd up a sweat, thousands wrote messages to be delivered to Newtown, Conn., and U.S. Rep. Ron Barber said he recalls the attack like clockwork every Saturday. (with video)

Dear Residents of Tucson,

There are no words to express how deeply touched I was to see the beautiful banner sent to us here in Newtown.  It is because of wonderful people like yourselves, that we can wake up another day and know that in our deepest moments of sadness, we never walk alone.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Sincerely,
Joanne Brunetti
