Tohono Chul Park kicks off Holiday Nights

Tohono Chul Park will light up the night by transforming into a winter wonderland, complete with over 750,000 lights, entertainment, treats, and shopping.

The park has held Holiday Nights for over ten years. This year's event starts Friday.

"The success of the event is that each year, the numbers keep growing as people hear more and more about it. We are able to offer more entertainment and each year the lights get a little brighter as we add to them," said Marcia Ring, marketing and communication manager of Tohono Chul Park.

Along with plenty of twinkly lights to gaze at, viewers can also do some holiday shopping, participate in the Holiday for the Park ornament sale and silent auction, listen to holiday music, and enjoy different treats.

The Holiday Nights event will be held four different nights before the holidays, Nov. 25-26, and Dec. 2-3, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. each night.

"We are looking forward to being able to entertain the Tucson community and to bring Tucson together during the holiday season," said Ring.

On Nov. 25 - 26, the featured performers will be Joe Bourne, Ballet Tucson "Nutcracker in a Nutshell," Kids Unlimited "Hope for the Holidays," and Desert Melodies.

The featured performers for Dec. 2 - 3 include Way Out West, Gabriel Ayala, and the Southern Arizona Women's Chorus.

Tickets purchased before November 15 are $8 for members and $12 for non-members. Tickets purchased after November 15 are $10 for members and $15 for non-members. Children 12 and under are $2.
