PBS will air a one-hour documentary this week about the healing of the Tucson community following the Jan. 8 shootings that claimed six lives and injured 13.

Healing, huh? We haven’t healed. We haven’t even started. If anything, the figurative open would is bleeding and we’re getting worse and worse.

Very few in this town want to place blame for the shooting where it actually belongs…on one, pathetic loser who wanted his 15 minutes of fame, and finally found a way to successfully get that.

Soooooo many around here want to place blame for the shootings on something or someone else. Some because they’re too stupid to know any better, and some because it furthers their political agenda…whatever that may be for that particular individual.

Where I see a tragedy, far too many others (including and especially Mark Kelly) saw opportunity. And, this community at large just seems to be OK with that.

So, this community had traveled even further down the unfortunate road of no accountability and profiting off of the suffering of others. Are you sure we’re healing?
