Pima basketball's Stallworth named ACCAC Player of the Week

Pima Community College women’s basketball player Sydni Stallworth (Palo Verde HS) earned an honor from the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference for the second time this season.

Stallworth, a sophomore guard, was named ACCAC Division II Player of the Week on Monday for the week of Dec. 5-11. She also won the honor on Nov. 21 for her play at the beginning of the season.

The Aztecs went 1-1 last week after an overtime lost against Eastern Arizona College and a lopsided victory at South Mountain Community College. Stallworth totaled 39 points, 12 rebounds and 14 assists in the two games.

Stallworth is averaging 13.6 points, 4.3 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 2.0 per game.

The Aztecs are off for the winter break and will return for the Bruce Fleck Classic on Dec. 28-30 at the West Campus. They’ll play Dawson Community College on Dec. 28 at 7 p.m.
