Photos: Wildcat soccer splits in Oregon trek

Arizona made a trip to the Oregon schools this weekend and ended with a mixed result.

Thursday night's match against Oregon in Eugene ended with a 1 - 0 victory for the Ducks. The lone tally of the match came from Maryn Butler in the 31st minute. Paige Crouch led the Wildcat offense with four shots.

A better result came on Sunday in Corvalis. Six-footer Hannah Stevens earned a brace for the team in the 3 - 0 victory over Oregon State. Gabi Stoian had seven shots, one scoring early in the second half.

"The team showed great character to bounce back and get the win," said head coach Tony Amato in comments after the Oregon State match. "We started the match well and that set the tone for 90 minutes. This was a long road trip and to score three and concede none shows the effort all the players put in today."

The team will face Stanford at home at 7 pm on Thursday night.
