Pima kicker Oswalt selected National Player of the Week

Pima Community College football player Coby Oswalt received national recognition for his efforts in last Saturday’s game.

Oswalt, a sophomore kicker, was named the NJCAA Special Teams Player of the Week on Thursday. He went 12 for 12 in PATs and converted on a 20-yard field goal in Saturday’s 89-0 win over Soul Patrol. Oswalt scored a total of 15 points for the Aztecs.

The Aztecs will be back at Kino North Stadium on Saturday when they host No. 1 Arizona Western College at 7 p.m.

Oswalt was also named WSFL Special Teams Player of the Week on Wednesday.
