Pima basketball assistant coach Hidalgo accepts job at Grand Canyon University

Pima Community College men’s basketball assistant coach Dylan Hidalgo is moving on to the NCAA Division I level.

Hidalgo accepted a job as a graduate assistant on the Grand Canyon University men’s basketball staff where he will be coaching with former NBA player and current head coach Dan Majerle.

Hidalgo spent the last two seasons with the Aztecs after playing four years at Kansas Wesleyan University. He played high school basketball at Rincon/University High School.

Hidalgo helped guide the Aztecs to a Runner-Up and Elite Eight finishes at the NJCAA Division II National Tournament as well as two straight NJCAA Region I, Division II championships.

The Aztecs produced a two-year record of 53-18 overall and 31-13 in ACCAC conference play.
