Jedd Gyorko and Daniel Robertson collected four hits each Tuesday, as the Tucson Padres beat the Fresno Grizzlies, 9-8.
It was a back-and-forth game at Chukchansi Park featuring five lead changes. The Padres won three of the four games in Fresno, sealing their second series win of the season. The Padres also took three of four against the Memphis Redbirds May 21 - May 23.
The T-Pads scored at least one run in their first four innings Tuesday. Jedd Gyorko hit a two-run double in the first, a two-run home run in the third and finished 4-for-5 with five RBIs in the game. Matt Clark went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two of the 18 doubles the Padres hit in the series.
Jonathan Roof was retired only once in five plate appearances, picking up two singles and two walks. Roof joined the Padres from Extended Spring Training in May and is batting .291 in 31 games.
Cory Burns pitched a 1-2-3 ninth inning for his first save in the Padres organization. The Padres are 26-52, in fourth place, 23.5 games behind first place Sacramento.
