Pima track duo Holliday & Cossey sign to Northern Colorado

Pima Community College women’s track and field athletes Jamie Holliday (Sahuaro HS) and Juliette Cossey (Sandra Day O’Connor HS) will continue their collegiate careers after they signed letters of intent on Saturday.

Holliday, a sprinter and jumper and Cossey, a jumper, will compete for the University of Northern Colorado, a Division I school in Greeley. The duo will join sprinter Shalise Fernander (Flowing Wells HS), who signed a letter of intent last Wednesday.

Holliday was a two-sport athlete as she competed in track and field and volleyball during her time at Pima. She was named All-ACCAC in the long jump and the 4x100 relay events. Holliday was selected All-Region for the high jump and the triple jump. Last season, Holliday won the Region I championship in the long jump.

Cossey is a two-time Region I champion in the triple jump. She was also selected All-ACCAC conference in the triple jump and the long jump.

The track & field NJCAA Division I National Championships will be Tuesday-Thursday, May 17-19 at South Plains College in Leveland, Texas.
