Pima women's golf claim 2nd in 3rd straight tourney

The Pima Community College women’s golf team earned second place in the final team standings for a third straight tournament on Tuesday at the Scottsdale Community College Invitational.

The Aztecs finished with a total of 773 (382-392). Chandler-Gilbert Community College took first place with 714 (362-352).

Sophomore Elizabeth Satterfield (Ironwood Ridge HS) had the best two-round total for the Aztecs as she shot a 188 (94-94) and finished seventh in the individual standings.

Freshman Katelyn Hutchison (Cienega HS) took eighth place with a total of 190 (92-98) and sophomore Julienne Gonzalez (Ironwood Ridge HS) placed ninth with a 191 (96-95). Sophomore Clara Solano (Tucson HS) finished 14th with a 204 (100-104).

The Aztecs will play in the South Mountain CC Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, Mar. 18-19 at the Aguila Golf Course in Laveen, Ariz. Teams will begin to tee off at 11 p.m.
